Panchi – Pehli Udaan Astitva Ki… A musical journey for a noble cause

Music & Dance is the hidden language of the soul and with the same belief Satyanveshi Foundation started its FIGHT AGAINST THALASSEMIA - ‘FAITH’ with music and dance event ‘Panchi – Pehli Udaan Astitva Ki…’ in Mumbai in February 2023. Past two years has seen seven successful editions of ‘Panchi’. The music event ‘Panchi’ provides a platform to students from various age groups wherein a 4 year old to 40 year old can spread wings without any fear or competition. Performances consists a mixed blender of Indian folk, classical and tunes of Bollywood and hiphop numbers. This time though Panchi – Pehli Udaan Astitva Ki… is coming up in October with two back to back events in Mumbai and Ahmedabad. Participation in ‘Panchi’ is completely free for every participant and class or institute. Gifts, certificates & trophies are given to every participant and class taking part in this musical show from the NGO Satyanveshi Foundation. There have been many fundraising events for various causes including for the awareness of ‘Thalassemia’, but this event is a bit different. Full of music, performances, unity and purpose this event is attended by esteemed guests, donors, blood bank staff and parents. In every show around 450 - 550 audience members enjoy this musical with lot’s of fun & appreciation.   Apart of this music show the NGO Satyanveshi Foundation also contributes with its blood donation drives, clean up drives, books distributions, meal sharing for street children, school exhibitions and more. ‘Panchi – Pehli Udaan Astitva Ki…’ is extra special as it’s dedicated to ‘FAITH’ – Fight Against Thalassemia. Through this musical journey, ‘Panchi’ aims to raise awareness about Thalassemia which happens to be an inherited blood disorder and emphasizes the importance of regular blood donations to make a difference. ‘Panchi’ is set to light up the stage of both Mumbai & Ahmedabad in October 2025. The event promises to be an unforgettable experience for over 300 participants, combining musical brilliance with a noble cause. “This pre-Diwali celebration is not just about music & dance; it’s about coming together for a higher purpose. We want to raise awareness for Thalassemia Free India and also support India’s young art, music & dance through this initiative,” says Tejas Shah from Satyanveshi Foundation - the organizer of this music event. This October event’s theme is ‘Hum hain naye – andaaz kyun ho purana’ which aims to pull everyone out of the older time myths on blood donations.
